Tina Arena
Tina Arena is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Arena began her career as a child performer on television before moving on to pursue music and acting full-time. Tina has released over a dozen studio albums and has sold millions of records worldwide.
One of Arena’s breakout roles came in 1992 when she played the role of Eponine in the Australian production of the hit musical Les Misérables. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and led to other prominent roles in musicals such as Cabaret and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Arena’s 1994 release of her album “Don’t Ask” was a commercial and critical success, earning Arena several ARIA Awards (the Australian equivalent of the Grammy Awards) and spawning several hit singles, including “Chains” and “Sorrento Moon.” The album remains one of the best-selling albums in Australian music history.
Throughout her career, Arena has worked with fellow Australian musicians such as Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, and Delta Goodrem, as well as international stars such as Andrea Bocelli, Marc Anthony, and Barry Manilow.
In addition to her work in music and theater, Arena is also a passionate advocate for animal welfare. In 2018, she was appointed as an ambassador for the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in Australia.
