Synyster Gates' Pets

Synyster Gates is best known as the lead guitarist for the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. Since joining the band in 2001, his unique style and dexterity on the guitar have been instrumental in shaping the band’s signature sound. From albums such as “Waking the Fallen” to chart-toppers like “Hail to the King,” his melodic guitar solos and riffs have been essential to Avenged Sevenfold’s global recognition.

Beyond his work with M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ, and The Rev in Avenged Sevenfold, Gates has frequently collaborated with a plethora of artists, refining his musical craft further. He has notably played alongside Slash and Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses. Stepping outside the metal sphere, Gates has melded his talents with Joel Madden and Benji Madden, Jared Watson and Dustin Bushnell of The Dirty Heads, as well as Rich Ward from Fozzy.

Over the years, he’s received numerous awards, emphasizing his influential position in the world of rock and metal. For instance, in Total Guitar’s 2016 poll, he was voted as having the “Best Metal Guitarist.” Additionally, MusicRadar ranked him as the “3rd Greatest Metal Guitarist” in 2020.
