Olu Fashanu is an American football offensive tackle known for his collegiate career at Penn State University, where he made significant contributions to the Nittany Lions’ football program from 2020 to 2023. A native of Waldorf, Maryland, Fashanu honed his skills at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., before committing to Penn State. Despite not playing in his first year, he quickly established himself as a key player, starting nine games in 2021 and earning the starting left tackle position in 2022. Fashanu’s exemplary performance in 2023 led to his recognition as a Consensus All-American and the Rimington–Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year, in addition to being a first-team All-Big Ten selection. His success culminated in a decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft, following an outstanding collegiate career marked by his participation in the prestigious 2023 Rose Bowl. Fashanu’s pre-draft measurables from the NFL Combine, including a height of 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 meters) and a weight of 312 pounds (142 kg), underscore his physical prowess and potential for a promising professional career.
