Nathan Fielder is a Canadian comedian, actor, writer, director, producer, and entrepreneur born on May 12, 1983. He’s most known for creating, directing, and starring in Nathan for You, a parody reality show that aired on Comedy Central from 2013 to 2017. His most recent work is the HBO show The Rehearsal (2022), which he created, produces, directs, writes, and stars in. His upcoming project is a comedy TV series for Showtime called The Curse, which will star him and Emma Stone. He was born in Vancouver, BC and attended the same high school and improv class as Seth Rogen. He also graduated from one of Canada’s top business schools with really good grades.
As a teenager and before his career in comedy, he performed as a magician. He went on to get an undergraduate degree in business and after he enrolled in a college comedy program. In 2006 he was a writer for Canadian Idol, where he was noticed and hired to write and act on the Canadian comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes. He went on to write for the Comedy Central series Important Things with Demetri Martin, before getting his own show Nathan for You, in 2013. He is also the executive producer on the HBO comedy series How To with John Wilson (2020-present).
