Melissa Ivy Rauch is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Penny on the TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory. After getting into acting in high school and college, she started getting small roles in films and TV shows, including being a regular contributor to VH1’s Best Week Ever. Her big break came in 2009, when she appeared in the third season of The Big Bang Theory. She became part of the show’s regular cast with Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.
