Ansel Elgort is an American actor, singer, and DJ (under the name Ansølo). Born to photographer Arthur Elgort and stage producer Grethe Barrett Holby, he began his acting career with a supporting role in the horror film “Carrie” (2013).

Elgort gained wider recognition for starring as a teenage cancer patient in the romantic drama film The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and for his supporting role in The Divergent Series (2014–2016). In 2017, he played the title character in Edgar Wright’s action thriller “Baby Driver”, for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Ansel Elgort has frequently collaborated with a host of notable celebrities, resulting in some exceptional pieces of work that were duly recognized. A prime example of Elgort’s collaborative ventures was with actress Shailene Woodley in the heart-rending film, “The Fault in Our Stars,” which became a box-office hit and won the MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Duo in 2014. He also built an impressive rapport with actor Kevin Spacey in the critically acclaimed film “Baby Driver,” which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing and Best Sound Mixing. On the music front, Elgort, under the pseudonym Ansølo, worked with eminent music producer Pierce Fulton, resulting in the popular track “Shirts & Skins.” Broadway star, Rachel Zegler, collaborated with him in Steven Spielberg‘s 2021 adaptation of “West Side Story,” which garnered universal praise. Elgort teamed up with Nicole Kidman and Sarah Paulson in the hauntingly beautiful drama “The Goldfinch,” showcasing his acting versatility. Furthermore, he shared the screen with Lily James in “Baby Driver,” their chemistry contributing to the film’s immense success. Actors like Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx, also part of the “Baby Driver” cast, enriched Elgort’s acting experience, contributing to his acclaimed performance. His collaboration with director Sofia Coppola in “A Very Murray Christmas” added a unique feather to his cap.
