Makarand Deshpande is an Indian actor, writer, and director, known for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema and theatre. He is recognized for his contributions to Indian theatre through his work with the Ansh Theatre Group.

Deshpande has appeared in films such as “Swades,” “Satya,” “Sarfarosh,” “Makdee,” and “Darna Zaroori Hai.” His television work includes roles in “Malgudi Days” and “Mukkam Post Bombilwadi.” In addition to acting, Deshpande has written and directed several plays. His contributions to Marathi cinema include performances in “Tuhya Dharma Koncha” and “Natsamrat.”
