Lou Llobell's Pets

Lou Llobell is a London-based actress, best known for her role as Gaal Dornick in the Apple TV+ series “Foundation.” Born in Zimbabwe to a Spanish father and Zimbabwean mother, Llobell grew up in Spain and South Africa before moving to England in 2013. She pursued drama at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Theatre Arts in 2016. Llobell further honed her skills at the Drama Centre London, where she completed a Master of Arts in 2018.

Llobell’s career took a significant turn with her casting in “Foundation,” a science fiction series based on Isaac Asimov’s books. The show, which premiered in September 2021, features an ensemble cast including Jared Harris, Lee Pace, and Leah Harvey. Llobell’s portrayal of Gaal Dornick, a mathematical genius from a rural, repressed aquatic planet, has been a central part of the series. The show has been renewed for multiple seasons, with the second season premiering in July 2023 and a third season starting filming in late May 2023.

Llobell has worked alongside a diverse group of actors in “Foundation.” This includes Jared Harris, known for his roles in “Mad Men” and “Chernobyl,” and Lee Pace, recognized for his work in “Pushing Daisies” and “The Hobbit” series.
