Linda Yaccarino is an American media executive, currently serving as the CEO of X Corp. and Twitter, and formerly as the chairman of global advertising & partnerships for NBCUniversal. Before taking over for Elon Musk in her current role, she significantly impacted the advertising industry through her work at Turner Broadcasting System and NBCUniversal. Yaccarino earned her Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Pennsylvania State University.

At Turner Broadcasting System, Yaccarino held the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer, where her efforts modernized the company’s advertising sales strategies. In October 2011, she joined NBCUniversal, leading a team of over 2,000 and contributing to the launch of the Peacock streaming service. Her tenure at NBCUniversal was characterized by strategic initiatives that addressed the challenges and opportunities presented by digital and streaming media.

Yaccarino’s engagement in public and industry-specific collaborations includes her appointment by President Donald Trump in 2018 to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition and her role as chair of the Ad Council’s board of directors starting in January 2021. In this capacity, she collaborated with the Biden administration in 2021 to initiate a coronavirus vaccination campaign with Pope Francis.
