Katherine Moennig is an American actress known for her role as Shane McCutcheon in the Showtime series The L Word (2004–2009) and its sequel The L Word: Generation Q (2019–2023). She also played Lena in the Showtime drama Ray Donovan (2013–2019) and has appeared in various film and television productions.
In The L Word, she acted alongside Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Mia Kirshner. In Ray Donovan, she performed with Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight. She appeared in Grown-ish (2018), sharing scenes with Yara Shahidi. She had a guest role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2003), performing with Mariska Hargitay.
