Gerry Dee
Gerry Dee is a Canadian actor, comedian, and TV personality who’s currently the host of Family Feud Canada. He is best known for his semi-autobiographical sitcom, Mr. D, which ran for eight seasons on CBC. Gerry first started performing stand-up comedy in the 1990s and in 2003, he became the host of the popular sports-related show, Off the Record. He later wrote, directed, and starred in his own comedy specials on CBC, called Gerry Dee: Live. He also wrote and starred in the sitcom Mr. D, which aired from 2012 to 2020 and was nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards. Throughout the show’s run, Gerry worked with several noteworthy actors, such as Jonathan Torrens, Bette MacDonald, and Mark Little.
He’s a regular panelist on the CBC’s The Debaters, and a semi-regular contributor to The National and other CBC shows. In 2023, she starred in the Fox sitcom Animal Control with Ravi Patel, Vella Lovell, Michael Rowland, Grace Palmer, Alvina August, Kelli Ogmundson, and Joel McHale.
