Dominic Howard
Dominic Howard is an English musician, best known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock band Muse. Born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Howard moved to Teignmouth, Devon, at a young age and began playing drums around the age of 12. His first band, Carnage Mayhem, eventually evolved into Muse, formed in 1994 with school friends Matt Bellamy and Chris Wolstenholme.
Howard’s career with Muse began with their debut album “Showbiz” in 1999, followed by “Origin of Symmetry” in 2001, which expanded their sound and brought them wider recognition. Their subsequent albums, including “Absolution,” “Black Holes and Revelations,” “The Resistance,” and “Drones,” have continued to receive critical and commercial success.
Dominic Howard, drummer for Muse, has significantly contributed to the band’s sound and success through key collaborations. Alongside bandmates Matt Bellamy and Chris Wolstenholme, he has shaped Muse’s musical direction. Howard worked with producers John Leckie on “Showbiz” and Rich Costey on later albums, and mixer Mark Stent on “Black Holes and Revelations” and “The Resistance.” His collaboration with Nero on “The 2nd Law” highlights his musical adaptability.
