Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress and producer primarily associated with Hindi films. She is among the highest-paid actresses in India and has won three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
Padukone began her acting career with the 2006 Kannada film “Aishwarya” and made her Hindi film debut in “Om Shanti Om” (2007), earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her filmography includes leading roles in “Cocktail” (2012), “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (2013), “Chennai Express” (2013), “Padmaavat” (2018), and the Hollywood film “XXX: Return of Xander Cage” (2017). She also produced and starred in “Chhapaak” (2020), which addressed the topic of acid violence.
Padukone has worked with Ranbir Kapoor in “Bachna Ae Haseeno” (2008) and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” with Shah Rukh Khan in “Om Shanti Om,” “Chennai Express,” and “Happy New Year” (2014), and with Ranveer Singh in “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela,” “Bajirao Mastani,” and “Padmaavat.” Her performances alongside Irrfan Khan in “Piku” (2015), Amitabh Bachchan in “Piku,” and Priyanka Chopra in “Bajirao Mastani” have contributed to her recognition in the industry.
