Bachchan’s career began with his debut in the film Saat Hindustani (1969), but his real breakthrough came with the 1973 film Zanjeer. His subsequent roles in blockbuster films like Deewaar, Sholay, Don, Agneepath, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Paa, and Pink have further cemented his status as one of India’s most revered actors. He has also been the host of the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, known as Kaun Banega Crorepati, which has brought him recognition in the television world as well.

Amitabh Bachchan’s collaborations with directors and actors have been equally iconic. He has worked with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema, including directors like Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, and Rajkumar Hirani, and co-stars such as Dharmendra in Sholay, Rekha in Silsila, Rajesh Khanna in Anand, Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein, Aishwarya Rai in Mohabbatein and Guru, and Vidya Balan in Paa.
