Amanda Brugel
Amanda Brugel is a Canadian actress known for her roles in The Handmaid’s Tale (2017–present) as Rita Blue and Kim’s Convenience (2016–2021) as Pastor Nina.
In The Handmaid’s Tale, Brugel worked alongside Elisabeth Moss, portraying a central character in the series’ dystopian setting. In Kim’s Convenience, she appeared with Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, adding a recurring role to the sitcom’s ensemble. In Room (2015), Brugel played a supporting role with Brie Larson in a drama about survival and trauma. She joined Adam Korson in Seed (2013–2014), playing a recurring role in the sitcom. In The Death and Life of John F. Donovan (2018), she acted alongside Kit Harington in a film exploring celebrity and personal identity. Brugel also co-hosted Big Brother Canada (2020–2021), appearing in a recurring guest capacity. In Dark Matter (2015), she appeared with Anthony Lemke in a science fiction series.
