Salma Hayek had a rescued German Shepherd named Mozart. Mozart was tragically found dead on her ranch, after being shot by a neighbor in 2016. The neighbor admitted to the shooting, saying that Mozart had attacked their dogs. The police found the neighbor was not at fault.

I haven’t posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog, Mozart who I personally delivered out of his mother’s womb. He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart. I am hoping that the Washington State authorities do justice to this wonderful dog whom in 9 years never bit or attacked anyone. He loved his territory and never strayed away…he was the most loving and loyal companion. He didn’t deserve a slow and painful death. #doglover #animalrights #dog #dogoftheday #rip #delivery

Lupe (Dog)

Breed: Mixed Breed | Adopted 2000
Rescued

Salma Hayek rescued Lupe from the streets in Mexico in the year 2000. Lupe passed away in 2018 at the age of 18.

Hayek once told a story about when she took Lupe and Angie to stay in a luxury hotel in the Bahamas. She had to beg the hotel management to let her dogs stay. So the hotel gave her a private home on the property. Where Lupe and Angie both snuck out of, then proceeded to crash a wedding and eat the wedding cake! Hayek heard all the commotion, whistling at the dogs, and the bride crying, as the dogs ran back to her small house…

With my heart filled with love and pain I had to say goodbye to my Lupe. I am so grateful for the 18 years she enriched my life with her great spirit. I have no words or tears to describe how much she meant to me. May she run free with my pack of dogs that are already waiting for her in dog heaven.
