James Franco has a cat named Sammy. He is a cat person because that’s the way he was raised. According to the actor, his family always had cats and he was always around them. So naturally, he always had his own cats after moving out on his own.

James Franco has a cat named Zelda. “All my recent cats have been named after characters from books or the literary world,” Franco said. “Sammy’s named after Sammy Glick from [Budd Schulberg’s] What Makes Sammy Run, and Zelda is named after Zelda Fitzgerald.”
