Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff is an American actress, singer, and entrepreneur. She first rose to fame as a teen idol starring as the title character in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire from 2001 to 2004, a role that catapulted her into the limelight and led to a successful film based on the series, The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2003. Duff is also associated with other Disney child stars such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez.
Duff’s acting career includes significant roles in mainstream and independent films such as Cadet Kelly (2002), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), A Cinderella Story (2004), War, Inc. (2008), and The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019). More recently, from 2015 to 2021, she starred as Kelsey Peters in the TV Land series Younger, receiving critical acclaim and two People’s Choice Awards nominations for her performance.
Musically, Duff has enjoyed a successful career with her debut album Santa Claus Lane in 2002 and her second album Metamorphosis in 2003, which topped the Billboard 200 chart and received a 4x Platinum certification. Her subsequent albums, including Hilary Duff (2004), Most Wanted (2005), and Dignity (2007), have also seen commercial success. After a brief hiatus, she returned to music with her fifth album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. in 2015.
Beyond her entertainment career, Hilary has authored a trilogy of novels, starting with Elixir in 2010, which became a New York Times bestseller. She’s also ventured into business with her fashion lines such as Stuff by Hilary Duff, Femme for DKNY, and a collaborative effort with GlassesUSA.
