Ren was a rescue that Emma and Andrew Garfield adopted for Christmas 2012 while they were dating. They had actually fostered the dog for a year before officially adopting him from Spot! Dog Rescue of Los Angeles. Ren is a pure bred that was surrendered to a high-kill shelter in California and is now lucky to have loving humans with Stone and Garfield, even if they’re now separated.
Andrew Garfield was born August 20, 1983, in Los Angeles, but moved to England with his English mother and American father when he was three years old. He got his start in U.K. theater and TV, before becoming a Hollywood star with an estimated net worth of $10 million. 2010 saw his two breakthrough roles, the first being in Never Let Me Go. The other was co-starring opposite Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, which earned him supporting role nominations from BAFTA and the Golden Globes.
His career reached a new level after this, when he was cast as in the iconic role as Peter Parker for The Amazing Spiderman and its sequel. In 2016 he reached a new level in his career, starring in the Martin Scorsese-directed Silence and earning a Oscar nomination for his role in Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. He shares a dog with Emma Stone.
