Celebrity chef and YouTuber Nick DiGiovanni has pulled off something thought only possible in the fantasy world of Pixar movies – He got a rat to make a ratatouille in real life! He was inspired by the classic Pixar movie, Ratatouille, where a fine cuisine loving rat aspires to become a world-class chef – And teams up with a young human chef to achieve this incredible goal.
Pulling this off in real life has been a crazy dream (and a joke) to many – But Nick considered the high intelligence and problem-solving abilities of rat – And combined it with his skill and dedication. Nick built the rat a tiny custom kitchen with specialized utensils and equipment – Then trained the rat for a year! He even got a real food critic to dress up an Anton Ego, the food critic character from the movie.
I just happened to catch Nick recently sharing the highlights on Instagram. But I somehow missed the incredible 13-minute video on YouTube that he posted in November. Make sure to see it in full below.
Nick first considered this stunt back in July 2022 when he posted a cooking video with his late hamster, Pesto. Pesto sadly passed away the following month.
