On top of co-owning Wrexham AFC, It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia creator Rob McElhenney is also best bugs with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. They usually celebrate their birthdays by getting each other a hilariously elaborate gift, such as Mcelhenney getting Reynolds a blimp with his face (as Deadpool) on it and Reynolds getting McElhenney a Titanic-inspired portrait of a topless McElhenney. But for Reynolds’ 48th birthday, McElhenney decided to get him a funny AND fund-raising gift!
Partnering with Best Friends Animal Society, Rob McElhenney announced that they’d be changing a bunch of adoptable animals’ names to Ryan Reynolds – In the hope that the extra attention from his celebrity status will help them find forever homes. On top of that, McElhenney is matching donations up to $25,000!
And it’s not just your typical rescue dogs and cats. This adoptable multiverse of Ryan Reynolds includes parrots, pigs, goats, and more!
Adoption fees are waved for October 23 and 24, with the will only $10 until the end of the month. Watch the video below for more details. And if you’re interested in adopting or are able to donate, visit bestfriends.org.
