Robert McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson have a dog named Simon that’s a Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog – Poodle mix). They got Simon in 2018.

Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson have a French Bulldog named Luke. When interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres, Olson said this about Luke, “This guy is the worst. You can’t leave him alone for a second. He eats absolutely everything. Food, non-food, poop…”

In May 2021, Kaitlin Olson teamed up with the Animal Wellness Foundation to create “KO’s Foster Room”. Olson and her husband Rob McElhenney turned a spare bedroom into a dedicated space to foster kittens, with the Instagram account @kofosterroom used to promote them. Olson doesn’t own any cats, just her two dogs. But she says her dogs and her two kids help the kittens get used to being around dogs and kids, which then helps them get adopted by kind people who have human and fur babies.

Chance is a Pitbull mix that ran away, but was saved by Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson, who stopped traffic on a Los Angeles freeway to catch him. The couple took Chance to a vet, with Chance then getting reunited with his family. This took place in April 2021.

This very brave boy ran for his life on a busy highway and really jacked up his paws but we got him, fixed him up and found his family!! Thank you so much to @farfetchedreunites and to @bridget.arevalo for being the most badass highway dog rescue partner/stranger. You’re Chance’s (and my) hero!!
