For the last few years, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has featured a segment called “Rescue Dog Rescue.” This sees Colbert team up with a dog-loving celebrity guest to bring out adoptable dogs from the North Shore Animal League to promote and exaggerate (and hilariously lie) to get them adopted.
So far Colbert has had an almost perfect record getting 185 rescue dogs adopted… Out of 186. The poor pup in question is named Norbert, who appeared twice on “Rescue Dog Rescue,” most recently alongside Chris Evans in November.
To continue his streak and ensure this rescue finds his furever home, Colbert pulled out the big guns – And made a whole segment to promote Norbert and even brought him to sit next to him on stage! And with how calm Norbert was considering the situation and cheering crowd, he’s clearly a very good boy (and we bet could even have a career on-stage).
Back in January, Stephen Colbert took fans behind the scenes with Benny, his dog and rehearsal buddy.
