Seth Rogen and his wife, Lauren Miller, along with friends and millions of fans, were heartbroken by the passing of Zelda, their 14-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, back in May 2023. Then in September 2023, the couple got matching Zelda tattoos. Now in 2024, the couple is finally ready to welcome a new fur baby into their lives, with a puppy named Ava Burrito.
But they weren’t ready to part with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels – And ended up choosing the same breed for their new pup. When Lauren posted the reveal, she shared that the name “Ada” is a two-part tribute to her grandma, Ella Adelle, and her doggy sister, Zelda. Her middle name comes from the fact that she was burrito-sized in the first photo they saw of her.
Many of their fans and celebrity friends joined the celebration in the comments. Jay Baruchel commented, “Beautiful,” and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan commented, “the lil pawsss!” Mandy Moore is also a fan of Ada’s puppy paws, saying, “Congrats!!! Those pads.” Busy Philipps commented, “omg this is wonderful news!” and Zooey Deschanel just left a heart eyes emoji. Lauren then went on to bless her followers with a second gallery of puppy pics.
