Tuomas Holopainen is a Finnish multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer best known as the founder, leader, keyboardist and songwriter of symphonic metal band Nightwish. His songwriting has been heavily influenced by harmonic film music. Before forming Nightwish, he played in the gothic metal band For My Pain…, and co-wrote the music for the Nightwish film Imaginaerum. Holopainen released his debut solo album “Music Inspired by The Life and Times of Scrooge” in 2014.
