Chop (Dog)
At the age of 18, he received a Rottweiler puppy named Chop as a Christmas gift from his sister, who had found the dog through a Craigslist ad. This marked his first experience raising a puppy, as his family had previously only adopted rescue dogs. Living at home at the time and beginning to tour, Chop quickly became a shared family companion. Initially wary of the new responsibility, his parents soon formed strong bonds with the dog, who grew to 120 pounds but was known for his gentle nature. Chop, described as loving and non-aggressive, was cherished by the family for 11 years. He was especially close to his owner, who valued Chop’s unwavering affection and learned qualities such as patience and empathy through their bond. Chop’s passing left a significant impact, with the family remembering him fondly as a central figure in their lives. His final moments were spent in his usual comforting manner, asleep at his owner’s feet.[1]
