The Notorious B.I.G
Christopher Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G., Biggie Smalls, and Biggie, was an American Rapper who lived from May 21, 1972 to March 9, 1997. Considered one of the most influential rappers and one of the greatest lyricists, he only recorded two studio albums. First was Ready to Die in 1994, followed by Life After Death in 1997, which was released sixteen days after his murder. Life After Death included features from Jay-Z, Lil Kim, Mase, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Too $hort, R. Kelly, The Lox, P. Diddy, and more. Billboard named him the “greatest rapper of all time”, Rolling Stone named him the “greatest rapper that ever lived”, and The Source named him the “greatest rapper of all time”. Biggie and his friend-turned-rival Tupac were at the center of the mid-1990s East Coast-West Coast rap rivalry. Tupac was shot and killed in September 1996, with speculation that Biggie or his associates were behind it. Biggie was also shot and killed six months later.
