Questlove has two cats. One is named Olo, a girl with black and white fur, and the other is Paisley, a boy with grey and black fur. Questlove told NPR he became a cat dad because his girlfriend made him get two cats to teach him empathy.

Questlove, real name Ahmir Khalib Thompson, is an American drummer, producer, DJ, author, and musical director. He is best known as the drummer and joint frontman for the hip hop band The Roots. He is also the founder of Okayplayer, a music website and online community. Questlove began playing music at an early age, learning to play jazz and funk drums. He was an active member of the Philadelphia music scene and eventually joined The Roots in 1999, who have released eleven albums. The Roots have also served as the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014. Questlove has also worked as a producer and collaborator with a variety of artists, including Common, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and D’Angelo. He has served as the musical director for a number of TV shows and specials, including the Grammy Awards. In addition to his music career, Questlove is an author, having published the books Mo’ Meta Blues, Soul Train, and Creative Quest. He also has a popular podcast and hosts a radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. He is highly respected in the music industry and has been honored with numerous awards, including a Grammy Award and an Emmy Award.
