Poppy Liu
Poppy Liu is an actor known for her roles in the HBO Max series Hacks (2021–present), where she plays Kiki, and the NBC comedy Sunnyside (2019), portraying Mei Lin. She also appeared in Better Call Saul (2022) as an interpreter and in the supernatural comedy Dead Ringers (2023) as Greta. Liu has performed in both television and independent film, including the short film The Goddesses of Spring (2019), which she also co-wrote.
Liu worked with Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder on Hacks, contributing to the series’ ensemble dynamic. In Sunnyside, she collaborated with Kal Penn, adding depth to her character’s story arc. She shared the screen with Rhea Seehorn and Bob Odenkirk in Better Call Saul. On Dead Ringers, she acted alongside Rachel Weisz in a reimagining of the 1988 film. Liu has participated in theater projects with The Public Theater, expanding her repertoire in live performance. Her work on The Goddesses of Spring involved collaboration with fellow Asian American creatives, blending storytelling with cultural themes.
