Merle Dandridge
Merle Dandridge is an American actress and singer, best known for her roles in the Broadway musicals Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as her portrayal of Grace Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network series Greenleaf. She has also starred in numerous film and television projects, including Black Panther, Sleepless, The Following, Sons of Anarchy, The Night Shift, The Flight Attendant, Station 19, and CSI: Miami. Dandridge has been nominated and won multiple awards including the 2013 Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut, the 2015 NAACP Theatre Award for Best Actress, and the 2016 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. In 2023, she had a leading role in the HBO series The Last of Us, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
