Mathieu Kassovitz
Mathieu Kassovitz is a French director, screenwriter, and actor, renowned for his Cannes Film Festival-winning film La Haine (1995). He has been honored with a César Award for Best Film and Best Director for La Haine. His acting credits include significant roles in Amélie (2001) and Munich (2005).
Kassovitz made his directorial debut with Métisse (1993), followed by La Haine in 1995. His other directorial projects include The Crimson Rivers (2000) and Babylon A.D. (2008). In Amélie, he portrayed Nino Quincampoix, and in Munich, he was cast as Robert, a key member of the Mossad assassination squad.
In La Haine, Kassovitz not only directed but also worked with actors Vincent Cassel and Hubert Koundé. His collaboration with Audrey Tautou in Amélie brought to life the intricate dynamics of their characters’ romance. In Munich, he shared the screen with Eric Bana and Daniel Craig, portraying operatives involved in covert operations.
