Mary McCormack
Mary McCormack is an American actress known for her lead role as Mary Shannon in the USA Network series In Plain Sight (2008–2012). She portrayed Kate Harper on NBC’s The West Wing (2004–2006) and starred as Deputy National Security Advisor. She appeared in the HBO series The Newsroom (2013–2014) and co-created the comedy series Heels (2021).
She played Howard Stern’s wife, Alison, in Private Parts (1997), performing opposite Paul Giamatti. In 1408 (2007), she acted with John Cusack. In K-PAX (2001), she shared scenes with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. She appeared in True Crime (1999) with Clint Eastwood. In In Plain Sight, she worked with Frederick Weller and Lesley Ann Warren. On The West Wing, she performed with Allison Janney and Richard Schiff.
