A shelters biggest challenge is getting the news out about their adorable pets. With a little help from the community, shelters manage to connect new parents with new furry friends. It can be a slow process getting the word out. However, one pizza place in Western New York has stepped up to the challenge. Just Pizza & Wing Co. in Amherst began attaching flyers in March of adorable pups seeking forever homes. Mary Alloy, the pizza shop’s owner, was inspired to help. Since launching the campaign, dozens of dogs have found homes.
