Mahershala Ali is an American actor born with the name Mahershalalhashbaz Gilmore. He started his career in shows such as Threat Matrix, Crossing Jordan and The 4400. His first major film role was in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt. He has also had roles in The Place Beyond The Pines, Free State of Jones, Predators and The Hunger Games series. Most recently he’s been known for his recurring roles in Netflix’s House of Cards and Luke Cage. For his role in 2016’s Moonlight, he won the SAG Award and Critics’ Choice Award for best supporting actor. He was also nominated for best supporting actor for the Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Awards. He has an estimated net worth of $2 million.
