Laura Wright is an American actress known for her work in daytime television. She has portrayed Carly Corinthos on General Hospital since 2005, a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011. Her previous soap opera credits include playing Cassie Layne Winslow on Guiding Light (1997–2005) and Ally Rescott Bowman on Loving and its spinoff The City (1991–1997).

Wright has worked alongside Maurice Benard on General Hospital, appearing in storylines centered around the Corinthos family. On Guiding Light, she played Cassie Layne Winslow, sharing extensive scenes with Kim Zimmer. In Loving and The City, she portrayed Ally Rescott Bowman, acting alongside Randall Edwards. During her tenure on General Hospital, Wright also collaborated with Steve Burton in numerous episodes tied to Carly’s relationship with Jason Morgan. She has appeared in scenes with Ingo Rademacher, portraying Carly’s complex relationship with Jasper Jacks. In addition to her daytime roles, Wright made a guest appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, acting alongside Mariska Hargitay.
