Katie Stevens is an American actress and singer known for her lead role as Jane Sloan in the Freeform series The Bold Type (2017–2021). She first gained national attention as a finalist on the ninth season of American Idol (2010). She starred as Karma Ashcroft in the MTV series Faking It (2014–2016) and has appeared in film and television productions across multiple genres.
In The Bold Type, she acted alongside Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, and Melora Hardin. In Faking It, she worked with Rita Volk, Michael J. Willett, and Gregg Sulkin. She played a supporting role in Haunt (2019), performing with Lauryn Alisa McClain and Will Brittain. She appeared in the anthology series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2015), sharing scenes with Ted Danson. She featured in Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings (2019), acting opposite Ginnifer Goodwin. She has also contributed vocals to music performances during her time on American Idol and related tours.
