Julia Garner is an American actress, best known for her roles in the Netflix series Ozark and the Hulu miniseries The Assistant. In 2013, she was cast in her first major role as Ruth Langmore in the Netflix hit Ozark. Since then, she has gone on to star in many critically acclaimed films and television series, including The Americans, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Search Party, and Maniac. Garner won an Emmy in 2020 for her performance in The Assistant and a Golden Globe in 2023 for her performance in Ozark. Garner is married to Mark Foster, lead singer of the band Foster the People.
