Laura and George W. Bush have one rescue dog named Freddy. In 2016, they visited the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Texas to thank them for their work helping animals, and ended up taking Freddy home.

Laura and George W. Bush have two cats, this one is named Bob. In 2011, Bob was a stray they found around their Ranch in Crawford that now enjoys sunbathing and chasing lizards.

Bernadette

Jenna bush has a cat named Bernadette or “Bernie” for short. Bernie used to live indoors as a city cat with Jenna, but now lives at her parent’s home in Dallas where she enjoys spending time on their patio.

Sully H. W. Bush

Sully H. W. Bush was the late former President George H. W. Bush’s dog for the last six months of his life. Following his human’s wishes, Sully went on to work at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Facility Dog Program in Maryland. There Sully works as a service dog to help disabled military veterans.

Barney Bush, originally named Bernard Bush (September 30, 2000 – February 1, 2013), was a Scottish Terrier belonging to former U.S. President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush. Known as the “First Dog,” Barney had a dedicated official web page linked to the White House website. He was born in New Jersey and became a well-known presidential pet during the Bush administration.
