Edgar Davids is a former Dutch professional footballer who is best known for his successful career as a midfielder. He was born on March 13, 1973 in Paramaribo, Suriname and began his professional career with Dutch club Ajax in 1991. He quickly became one of the team’s key players and helped lead them to numerous domestic and international titles. Davids also had successful stints with Italian clubs Inter Milan and Juventus, as well as with the Dutch national team. He was known for his aggressive and tenacious style of play, and was often referred to as “The Pitbull” due to his ability to win the ball back for his team. After retiring from professional football in 2014, Davids became a coach and has worked with several clubs in Europe and the United States.

In 2002, he made a cameo appearance in the Dutch film “Phileine Says Sorry.” He also co-wrote the theme song for the film. In 2010, he participated in the Dutch reality show “Sterren Dansen op het IJs” (Celebrities Dancing on Ice). Davids has also collaborated with several popular people throughout his career. He worked with rapper Def Rhymz on the song “Doekoe” in 2001. Davids has also worked with fellow footballer Clarence Seedorf and comedian Jandino Asporaat. Other notable collaborations include working with fashion designer Alexander Wang, musician DJ Tiesto, and athlete Usain Bolt.
