Deadmau5 has one cat keeping him in check, named Professor Meowingtons. Meowingtons is a bit of a celeb himself, with over 12,000 Instagram followers. He was also the center of a legal dispute in March 2017, with Deadmau5 suing meowingtons.com over the claim they’re capitalizing on his cat’s fame.

Joel Thomas Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, is a Canadian EDM producer and DJ. After years of successful albums, tours and working with other artists, he has earned an estimated $12 million net worth. He started DJing and producing music in the late 1990s, with his first studio album released in 2005 called Get Scraped. In 2007-08 he gained recognition for his collaborations with EDM producer Kaskade, with the hit singles “I Remember” and “Move for Me”. In 2009 he hit mainstream success with his album For Lack of a Better Name, which included his iconic track “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” and “Strobe”.
