David Bromstad
David Bromstad is an American designer and television personality, known for winning the first season of HGTV’s “Design Star” in 2006. He subsequently became the host of “Color Splash” on HGTV in 2007 and has hosted “My Lottery Dream Home.”
In “Color Splash,” Bromstad specialized in transforming rooms with bold colors and innovative designs, while “My Lottery Dream Home” features him assisting lottery winners in purchasing their dream homes. He also narrated the mini-series “Beach Flip” in 2015.
Bromstad’s collaborations extend across the industry, including working with Vern Yip on “Design Star,” which helped launch his career. He has appeared in projects with Chip and Joanna Gaines, integrating diverse design philosophies for a broad audience.
