Anika Noni Rose is an American actress and singer, recognized for her voice role as Tiana in Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.” She won a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway production of “Caroline, or Change.”

In her film career, Anika Noni Rose portrayed Lorrell Robinson in “Dreamgirls” (2006). Her voice role as Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog” (2009) introduced Disney’s first African-American princess. On television, Rose appeared as Wendy Scott-Carr in “The Good Wife” and played Kizzy in the 2016 miniseries “Roots.” She portrayed LaVerne “Jukebox” Ganner in the series “Power.”

Throughout her career, Anika Noni Rose has collaborated with notable actors such as Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson in “Dreamgirls,” Jeffrey Wright in “The Good Wife,” Forest Whitaker in “Roots,” and Hugh Jackman in a performance of “Carousel” at Carnegie Hall.
