Alex Lawther
Alex Lawther is an English actor known for his performances in film, television, and theatre. He starred as James in the Channel 4 and Netflix series The End of the F**ing World* (2017–2019) and portrayed the young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game (2014). His film credits include Ghost Stories (2017), Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017), The Translators (2019), The French Dispatch (2021), and Andor (2022). On stage, he performed in The Jungle at St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York and Hamlet at the Young Vic.
Lawther played lead and supporting roles across various genres, collaborating with Jesse Eisenberg in Vivarium (2019) and Anya Taylor-Joy in The Menu (2022). He acted alongside Asa Butterfield in X+Y (2014) and Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game. His television work includes an episode of Black Mirror (2016), where he co-starred with Jerome Flynn. On stage, he performed in The Glass Menagerie at the Duke of York’s Theatre, appearing with Amy Adams. His role in Andor placed him in a cast that included Stellan Skarsgård.
