Sam Worthington
Sam Worthington is an Australian actor and producer. Worthington’s breakout role came in 2009, when he starred as the lead character Jake Sully in James Cameron‘s epic science fiction film “Avatar.” His performance in the film earned him critical acclaim and propelled him into the spotlight, leading to a string of high-profile roles like Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation, and Perseus in Clash of the Titans as well as its sequel Wrath of the Titans. He then transitioned to more dramatic roles, appearing in The Debt (2010), Everest (2015), Hacksaw Ridge (2016), The Shack (2017), Manhunt: Unabomber (2017), and Fractured (2019). On television, he appeared in his native Australia as Howard in Love My Way and as Phillip Schuler in the television drama mini-series, Deadline Gallipoli, for which he was also an executive producer. He also voiced the protagonist, Captain Alex Mason, in the video games Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018).
Throughout his career, Worthington has worked with a diverse range of actors and filmmakers, including Christian Bale, Jessica Chastain, and Martin Scorsese. He has also worked as a producer on several films, including the crime thriller “Drift” and the action-adventure film “The Titan.”
Worthington is also known for his advocacy for environmental and animal welfare causes. He is a passionate supporter of organizations like Greenpeace and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and has worked to raise awareness of issues like climate change and the impact of human activity on the natural world.

On 18 October 2013, Worthington had confirmed rumours of a relationship with fellow Australian, model Lara Worthington. They married on 28 December 2014 and had a son in 2015. In 2016, Bingle and Worthington had their second child, another son. In 2020 the couple announced the birth of their third child, another son.
