It is a heartbreaking day for Kylie Jenner, who shared with the world that her famous and beloved Italian Greyhound, Norman, has passed away. Jenner announced the sad news in an emotional Instagram post, sharing a carousel of cherished photos of Norman, who has been by her side for nearly half her life. Norman was the king of her Italian Greyhound collection, with the busy dog mom saying in 2023 that her “best hire” was a dog nanny to specifically care for her 7 greyhounds (She had 12 dogs total at the time)

In her moving tribute, Kylie reflected on the very beginning of their journey together. “I still remember the day I brought you home. I had never loved anything so much,” she wrote. “I always wanted an Italian Greyhound growing up… Then, right after I turned 17, I got you for Christmas, and it was the best gift I could have ever received.”

Norman, who was “almost 13 years old,” quickly became a staple in Kylie’s life and on her social media, a quiet and constant companion through her meteoric rise to fame, her business ventures, and her journey into (human) motherhood. “Normy, you filled my life and so many others with pure joy,” she continued. “I knew you were getting older, and I tried to prepare myself, but it’s hard losing you norm.” She also shared a touching sentiment about Norman’s relationship with her two children, Stormi and Aire. “It makes me happy knowing my kids got to meet you and love you”

In her final farewell to her “precious Normandle,” Kylie expressed the profound grief of losing such a long-time friend: “My sweet Normyyyy. My heart aches for you. Rest in peace, my precious Normandle. I love you forever.” November 2023 was the last time Kylie added to her canine collection with her 12th dog: a Dachshund named Moo Pants.
