Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat Choupette Named CEO of Luxury Watch Brand Hublot

In another case of fur baby nepotism, Choupette Lagerfeld has landed her next major brand deal. The late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld’s Birman cat is now the CEO of luxury watch brand Hublot. While cats clearly don’t care what time it is, this kitty is very accustomed to the finer things in life (with an estimated net worth of $13 million). And a commenter on the video below confirmed it stands for “Cat Executive Officer.”

The Swiss luxury watchmaker has tapped the world’s most famous feline to front the 20th-anniversary campaign for its iconic Big Bang collection. Hublot even cheekily admits Choupette “doesn’t have a wrist or know how to tell the time.” This is about “outrageous confidence,” and who has more of that than a cat who inherited a fortune and expects her water served in crystal?

Dubbed with the new tagline “Own It,” the campaign, shot by renowned photographer Carlijn Jacobs, mixes high-fashion with “meme-inspired content.” A nod to the modern era of pet influencers, where a blue-eyed Birman can out-model humans. Choupette, reportedly bringing her “signature attitude,” confidently shines in front of a camera (and don’t forget when Choupette attacked Kim Kardashian during a photo shoot)

This isn’t Choupette’s first (branded) rodeo: she’s graced magazine covers and inspired fashion lines, all while being tended to by a dedicated staff. Her transition to watch ambassador is just another jewel in her already diamond-studded collar. We last covered this elite kitty when Choupette celebrated her 13th birthday with an exclusive picnic on the lawn of the Palace of Versailles. Typical.
