The World Dog Surfing Championship has wrapped up, with fun had by all pups and people in attendance. So we’ve rounded up some highlights for all of us who sadly couldn’t make it to Pacifica Beach in California.
If you’re new to this prestigious event, you can soak in the hype reel below first:
We have to start with Cacau of @familiarsurfdog who won Top Dog Final Overall Champs, thanks to placing first in the Extra Large Dog Category, the Stand Up Paddleboard Category, and the Human/Dog Tadem Category.
And not only did Cacau travel from Brazil to compete, she was a newcomer to the competition!
Rusty the Surfing MinPin held it down with three wins.
Rusty and Faith the Surfing Pitbull teamed up and won the Dog/Dog Tandem Category.
A Frenchie named Iza won some fans with her 3rd place win in the Medium Dog Category.
Carson won overall at the 2023 championships and placed 2nd this year in the Small Dog Category.
Sugar the Surfing Dog has won multiple titles over the years and took home 1st in the Medium Dog Category.
