Foolishly, Chris Evans thought he could film a scene for Gifted in an animal shelter and not leave with a dog. Luckily for himself and Dodger, that was a lie.
The Avengers star adopted Dodger that day. Evans describes walking up and down the aisles of the pound when he first saw Dodger. He says he “saw this one dude and he didn’t belong there. I snagged him and he’s such a good dog. They aged him at about one, he acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy. He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love.”
So are we, for Evans and Dodger after that quote.

According to Evans, Dodger’s favorite toy is a stuffed lion that sings songs from the Lion King. Dodger likes to sing along, howling in time to the music. Chris Evans posts videos of him serenading on his Twitter account and they’re pure gold.
This is Dodger’s stuffed lion. He loves it. He brings it everywhere. If you press it’s paw, it sings. Today, Dodger decided to join in. pic.twitter.com/CuH53VNVtF
