Toto Wolff
Toto Wolff is an Austrian investor and former racing driver, best known as a shareholder and the Executive Director of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
Starting as a venture capitalist, Wolff ventured into motorsports and has been a defining figure in modern Formula One. His journey gained substantial momentum when he became a shareholder of Williams F1 Team in 2009. But it was his role at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, beginning in 2013, that catapulted him into the limelight. Under his leadership, the team has secured multiple Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships, forming a racing dynasty that has dominated the sport.
Wolff has worked with an impressive range of individuals, from racers to team personnel and executives. A few of these notable collaborations include Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, Ross Brawn, Paddy Lowe, James Allison, and Susie Wolff, his spouse and a former racing driver herself.
Toto Wolff has received several honors for his contributions to motorsport. He was awarded Austria’s Sports Manager of the Year in 2014 and 2019. Moreover, under his leadership, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has collected Constructors’ Championships from 2014 to 2020, making it one of the most successful teams in Formula One history.
