Tom Araya
Tom Araya is a Chilean-American musician, best known as the lead vocalist and bassist of the thrash metal band Slayer. Araya’s work with Slayer, which he joined in 1981, has been pivotal in the band’s success, contributing to their status as one of the “Big Four” thrash metal bands. In his career with Slayer, Araya has been instrumental in the creation and success of albums like “Reign in Blood,” “South of Heaven,” and “Seasons in the Abyss.”
Throughout his career, Araya has collaborated with numerous artists and bands, enhancing his reputation in the metal community. Notable collaborations include working with guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, drummer Dave Lombardo, and producer Rick Rubin.
